In response to Is Arranged Marriage Really Any Worse Than Craigslist?
Arranged marriage is very interesting to me, I cant imagine having my parents pick out my husband. I really believe that everyone has a soulmate and there is someone out there for everyone I even think there may be more than one person. I dont believe in arrange marriages, I have lots of friends who like Anita have grown up in a family of arranged marriages. All of my friends have refused to be told who they will date and who will they marry. But in answer to the title of the article, "Is Arranged Marriage Really Any Worse Than Craigslist?" I think the answers YES ! Well at least for me, I am my own person and I want my children to grow up that way as well and I want to raise them well enough to know right from wrong and that includes who they think is right for them.
In response to Resist Hitler and Survive
The holocaust has always been an interest of mine, I have always loved to read stories about survivors and Anne Frank. It amazes me that one person could cause such destruction. I was not aware of what happened in 1943 its amazing to see what people will do for love. I think that those women really loved their husbands, they had to have becuase they risked their lives for it. It is ashame that more people are not aware of their heroic attempts to free their husbands. All you need is love =]
In response to When you Have to Shoot First
I am not one to start a fight, I do not believe in war, I will trust you until you give me reason not to. I do not like knowing that people all over the world are dying, I hate death and I hate guns. I do not believe that people know the effect a gun has, it is not just another fight it is ending someones life and the life of their friends and family. It makes me sick to think that man could stand there and say he filled that mans body up with bullets. It seems to me that he make think he is a bigger man now cause he killed someone, but not only did he kill him but he made sure he was really dead. I hate people who take advantage of their power and in this case I believe that is what Eldad did.
In response to Images
It has always been said that a picture is worth one thousand words, and these three photos just enforce it. The picture of the Iwo Jima Monument is so beautiful I love how you can see the strength in their stance as they place that flag up. Image two the tomb of the unknown is very unsettling to me, not just for the name but because I can't imagine being a family member of that person and not knowing that my sibiling or parent is alive or dead. Image three, my favorite picture gives me goosebumps. I love that even they have passed on what they did is still being remembered.
Response to Butterfly Effect
I am amazed at the new things I have learned about butterflies in reading this. Its amazing to think that with the flap of its wings a butterfly can effect that atmosphere. However what confuses me is why is it only the flap of butterfly wings what about birds, and flys. What is it that the butterflies have that these other animals do not? Overall it was a really cool read probably one of the best so far.

Response to DNA test gives students ethnic shocks
This DNA test is very interesting to me, being that I am from a white background I would really like to see what is in my ancestry. However I do not like how the author made it seem like that alot of students who took this test wanted to have some part black ancestory to piss off there parents. Although I would probably fall under that category of students that would want to mess with my parents for having a black ancestor. Overall the article was very interesting to find out different results and suprises.
Response to Ultimate Therapy: commercial Eugenics in the 21st Century
To be quite honest I do not understand the full effects of eugenics. I think it is a very interesting topic but I can not fully grasp the concept of eugenics.

Response to Facebook: Why I hate it
Like most West Chester students I have been a member of Facebook for about 2 years. In the article "Facebook: Why I Hate It" written by Sarah Kliff, Sarah states her opinion on facebook and how time consuming it can be. I can not agree with her more when it comes to Facebook, I may just go on to check my messages and end up flipped through albums after albums starting with friends and ending with strangers. I also have found that I use Facebook to check up on recent break ups, drama, and even keep tabs on certain people, things I would never thought of doing if I didnt log in. Not only do I not believe in just "checking" your Facebook but I cant believe that I actually sit for hours on end reading word for word what people are doing for the rest of the day when like Sarah I should be doing my homework. Facebook and I have a love hate relationship, I hate when I want to type in google and I atuomatically type in Facebook. However with lots of friends from high school our spread througout the United States it is nice to be able to see how they are doing and what they are up to.
